Celebration :)

So as I had written about before, I started my job July 6th.  I love it so far!  I have been SUPER busy, hence the lack in blog updates :)  But it really has been awesome- I love the people I work with and I love my patients, can't ask for more than that!  Well this past Saturday I finally took my boards...and good news- I passed!  It was SUCH a relief!  No more studying...yay :)  Well on Saturday night Matt took me out to celebrate!  We went to Cypress, which is a super nice, swanky restaurant downtown.  Definitely the type of place to celebrate!  

Matt was a little embarrassed to ask the waitress for a picture...which was definitely understandable, so we did the solo shots, haha. 

Woo hoo for being board certified, employed, and a homeowner...so much to be thankful for!

Homeowners!

So we are finally homeowners!   It has been SO much fun and we just LOVE our house!  The closing went pretty smoothly. 

We walked in at 12:00...

 and at 1:00 we owned a home!!!

Of course right when we walked in the door there was LOTS of work to do! Both of our parents and Will and Jordan and even Lauren and Richard for a little while came to help!  We needed all the help we could get.  We had (and have) SO much work to do...I can't imagine if we had bought a fixer-upper!

For the 4th of July we had our first cookout at the house!  As a housewarming gift Matt's dad bought us a grill and a lawnmower!  Matt LOVES them...his first "man machines!"  

So far all the boxes are unpacked, but there is a lot more to do.  There is still more painting, landscaping, buying of all kinds of things, decorating, etc to do!  We will be busy for many weekends to come, but they are all very fun projects :)  I will try to be better about putting pictures up!
