Halloween Fun in Peds Neuro

A lot of us dressed up today at work! These are taken from my phone so they aren't the best quality....
Dr. K and I...I wish I had a picture of what he looks like normally because he looks like a whole different person in his Austin Powers costume!
Kimberly (one of the other PNPs) and myself.

This was just for fun...tonight I am going to be superwoman and were going to a party with some friends from college...more pictures to come...Happy Halloween Weekend!

PC Homecoming

Homecoming at PC means we get to go back to our old stomping grounds and feel even older than we did the last year! Its crazy because now the last class that was actually there when we were there is gone, so we know very little students.  But its ok because we get to see all our friends and just hang out.  This year was very fun.  I can't believe its my brother's last homecoming as a student...time flies!
Matt and I tailgating

Best friends a girl could ask for :)  PC is very fun for us because every single one of our friends married (or is engaged to) a PC grad, too!  It makes for fun get-togethers!
Caleb and Matt sampling all the food we brought to tailgate
Got to see Durham again! She was a little bit happier than my last time seeing her at the Clemson game.  She actually let me play with her a little bit :)
Sweet mommy and daughter
Family! Must say, we've got a pretty cool one!
So Kathryn and I decided to make the depressing trip back to our old townhouse and we knocked on the door and asked if we could just look around.  I know, lame.  So we made it back up to our room where we spent our whole senior year together.  They didn't have their beds pushed together so they could snuggle together every night like we did...don't worry we let them in on that little secret!  I am pretty sure they thought we were crazy, haha!  It did bring back some of my favorite memories, though.

On our way out of town on Sunday we drove by the new PC Pharmacy School.  It looks amazing! I still can't believe that PC has a Pharmacy School...crazy!  So far I have heard its been a big success.

Even though the blue hose lost, it was a fun time.  The good news is that PC FINALLY won a game this weekend! YAY go blue hose! Maybe this will turn around our 0-19 losing streak. I won't hold my breath.  Anyways, homecoming was so much fun, SO good to see my friends as always! Until next year, PC...

Finishing Catchin' Up

In early October, my good friend Casey got Married! Casey and I cheered together for 3 years in college and was she was in my stunt group for most of it.  Through all that we became very good friends.  She is one of the sweetest and most fun girls I know! I was so excited to get to celebrate her big day with her!
Matt and I waiting for the bride and groom to arrive :)
Yet another fun weekend spent at the Massengills!
Gail and I at the reception
The beautiful bride dancing with her new hubby!
This is Laurie (my cheerleading coach in college) and LeAnne who I cheered with in college and now she helps Laurie coach the PC cheerleaders.  Overall Casey's wedding was perfect and such a sweet ceremony!  Congrats Casey and Clay!!!

So if you know Matt you know that Matt seems to always find these connections to cool people whether through work or anything else random.  The other day he comes home and he says that he met the owner of Scout boats and he wanted to take us out on one of his new boats one night.  So last Thursday we went out on his awesome new boat. This boat is his newest design...its technically still a prototype, hes only made 4 total.  I think its pretty sweet...even though it retails for over $325,000!  The sunset was gorgeous that night and it was so neat driving around and looking at all the houses and bridges from a different angle.  Charleston is so beautiful, it makes me appreciate where I live.

These were the super cool gadgets he had to drive us around.  Not sure what they do, but they looked pretty complicated!

It was the perfect weather for a sunset cruise!  Maybe if he has an extra one of those boats lying around he can give it to us :)

Birthdays and Celebrating Lacey

For my birthday on September 21 we went with a bunch of friends to Your Pie.  Your Pie is one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston.  You order your crust, then you order what sauce you want, then you pick you cheese, and then you go to the toppings bar and they put on whatever topping you want, they then throw it in the brick oven and you're done.  The best part is on Tuesdays you get your pizza and a drink for $5! Can't beat that!
Blowing out my birthday candles...the big 26!
Fun friends that came to celebrate :)

It was a wonderful birthday overall!  Matt got me a pink beach cruiser bike and a new cell phone. I LOVE both of them. Matt always makes sure every year that I have an awesome birthday.  I will say he takes much thought into my day and the gifts that he gives me. I am so lucky to have him!  Thanks Matt and everyone for a great bday!

Lacey, one of my roomates and best friends from college, is getting married this December.  She had an engagement party about a month ago in Columbia.  I'm so excited for all of Lacey's fun wedding festivities to begin!
Matt and I at the party
Friends in the garden :)
Caleb and Matt have to make the best out of all these wedding parties we drag them to.  I have to say they do a pretty good job...I think they might actually enjoy themselves (but don't tell them that)!
Kyle (the groom), Matt, and Caleb hanging out in the garden :)
 Me with the beautiful bride
Sweet friends.
So happy to be there to celebrate Lacey and Kyle...can't wait for more wedding fun!

PC vs. Clemson Weekend

When you go to a school like PC there are many things that other colleges just can't compete with.  For example, I knew all my professors personally and have spent a lot of time at most of their personal homes.  Or just how I know pretty much every person at PC.  Or when you meet some one that went to PC there is an immediate personal connection.  I love PC.  I loved every single day of the four years I spent there.  But if there is one thing that PC falls short of is the big college football experience.  Personally I didn't miss that too much because going to a smaller school gave me the opportunity to cheer, which I probably wouldn't have been able to at a big school.  But going to a big college football game and cheering for a team that actually plays on TV is pretty fun.  Well that is why when I found out that in 2010 PC would play Clemson, I knew I couldn't miss it!  So this past September Matt and I headed up to Clemson to watch the Blue Hose attempt to play the Tigers!

Megan, Kathryn, Brittany, and I tailgating before the game
I got to hang out with my brother, Ryan for a while too.  We went and visiting the Pi Kapp tailgate and got to see a lot of old alumni friends :)
We met up with Cameron and Courtney, too.  Of course they had Durham so I wanted to take picture.  I wanted to take a picture, but Durham obviously did not. haha!
She was a lot happier when her aunt Cam Cam was holding her!
Our friends Emma and Stephen from Charleston called us to see if we needed tickets.  Well, they only gave us the most amazing tickets ever.  They were on the 6th row right behind the players.  This is where they have their season tickets, how lucky, huh?!?  Can you spot Dabo?
 Thanks Emma and Stephen!
I found my sweet friend, Gail!
We had to of course go visit our favorite cheerleaders!  Looks like they still got it ; )
We stayed with Kathryn and Caleb that weekend.  I mean it goes without saying that everytime we hang out its the best time ever..and this weekend did not disappoint.  Thanks best friends for a wonderful weekend!
The next morning we went to church with Caleb and Kathryn at their church in Spartanburg and went to Converse Deli for lunch.  SUCH a fun weekend, wish I could do it all over again.  Even though PC lost (pretty badly haha) I had so much fun with our friends!

First of Several Catch-up Posts

Well, I have gone through my camera and downloaded all my pictures...so we will just have to do a quick recap of events :)

Jordan began selling Mary Kay a few months ago and I hosted a party for her one night.  It was really fun, we ate mexican, played with make up, and then watched the season finale of the Bachelorette.  Sounds like a perfect night to me!

Jordan tested out all her new make up skills on us. She gives a pretty mean make over :)

We had a lot of fun playing with all the different products.  I don't wear a lot of make up, but I have branched out and have worn some Mary Kay because I have it now.  Overall, it was just a really fun and relaxed night...and to top it all off Ali picked Roberto on the Bachelorette, so the night was perfect haha.

One of the most exciting parts of moving into our house was the fact that Tiger would actually have a backyard to play in.  It took a few weeks to organize, but we finally got both of our dads to come down and help us put the fence up.  They worked very, very hard, but it was VERY worth it.  We love having a fence for many reasons.  First, no more walking Tiger in the mornings, he can just go outside by himself.  Secondly, our yard isn't huge so its really nice to have for privacy.  And Thirdly, it just gives our yard more definition and actually makes it look bigger.
This is an almost-done product, its a view of the back right corner of the fence.  We still had to cut the tops off the posts and some other small details.
It was a long and VERY hot day!

Almost done!  THANKS DADS!

Although we spent most of the weekend in Charleston, we did squeeze in a weekend at the lake, of course.  We couldn't deprive Tiger of the lake the WHOLE summer.... : )
Relaxing on the back porch...the most relaxing place in the world...

Tiger decided he wanted to go Kayaking after Matt and I got back from a big Kayak adventure.  He liked it a little too much!
The lake makes Tiger one happy dog!

Well I think thats sufficient for one of several catch up posts!  There is so much to catch up on!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!
