Birthday Lights at the Zoo

On Walker's actual first bday we decided it would be fun to celebrate by going to the lights at the zoo!  He LOVES lights so we thought it would be perfect for him :)

We met at Smashburger prior to the Zoo and did some presents and had a milkshake!

Everyone was a fan of santa except for one...any guesses!?

Banks was in awe of the celebrity!  He could barely talk!

"I would like the whole paw patrol, a blue tyrannosaurus rex, and the dinotrux."

I just love that sweet smile.

We had the best time!  Our little boy was so happy too and pointing at every light in the whole zoo!

Mansfield Plantation

Matt and I enjoyed a little get away to Georgetown, SC for a retreat at the begging of December.  It was so nice to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays to enjoy eachother.

We stayed at Mansfield Plantation and it was BEAUTIFUL!

It was a bed and breakfast and the breakfast every morning was SO GOOD!

This plantation was built in 1718 and used to be a real, working rice plantation.  This is one of the slave quarters.

A lot of the movie The Patriot was filmed here! So cool!

Afternoon bike ride.  Even though it was December it was about 75 degrees and sunny!

Saturday night we headed into Georgetown and ate at a nice restaurant, it was so fun!

I love weekends with my favorite person! Thanks to all the grandparents and sister for letting us get away :)

ACC Champs!

VERY early in the season Matt called me and told me that ACC championship tickets were on groupon and to go buy us two.  Well I did (not thinking) and then I got to thinking...we didn't even know who was playing!  There was a good chance it wasn't going to be Clemson!  Well turns out, Matt was right, it was Clemson and I was thankful we had tickets and were headed to Charlotte!

We met up with Jordan and Will to tailgate.

Decked out in our purple and orange, Go Tigers!

We had the very definition of nose bleed seats, but it was still a great view!

My parents best friends, The Dominicks, well he happens to be a photographer for The State newspaper.   He must have used his VERY zoom lens to capture us during the game!  See that wall behind us?  Yea, that's the top of the stadium.  This picture cracked me up though, we look so serious!

After a VERY exciting game, the TIGERS WIN!  It was SO fun to be there...it was 90% orange in that stadium and the crowd was awesome.  What a fun adventure with my favorite Clemson Tiger fan and hubby!  Next up, Orange Bowl!

Walker's First Bday: Smash Cake

I honestly wasn't sure how Walker would feel about his smash cake because he's not a huge sweets fan (how is he related to B?!?).  But he ended up going at it and having a blast!

Getting the first taste...

Ok, so he loved it!

I got hit!

GG and pop pop!

He was trying to spread the love to everyone...

SO much fun! We LOVED celebrating you!
