Christmas 2010

I didn't take many pictures of Christmas day..but here are a few snapshots.  We actually did "Christmas day" on Christmas Eve this year for several reasons.  The main one being Richard was on call Christmas Eve so he was in Charleston and would be awake mid-day Christmas day, so Lauren wanted to be back in town by then. We missed having EVERYONE together this year, but we've been so lucky the past two years, I guess it was bound to happen with two residents in the family.
Part of our Christmas day is getting "shed presents." Those are normally presents too big to fit into a package.  Matt had a Kayak in the shed and we had a card table and chairs.  Ryan had a table for his apt next year as well.

 Merry Christmas :)
 All the kids minus Richard
 Merry Christmas Morning!
A special gift of Christmas was SNOW in SC the day after! How wonderful!!!!!
Ryan and Matt both got fly fishing rods for Christmas, here Ryan is testing it out!

Overall, WONDERFUL Christmas...wish I had more pictures to share.  It was so nice to be off work for a week and be able to relax with my family.  There will be one more post about an fun Christmas gift for me (Lauren, also)...I'll keep you in suspense until then...

Christmas Cookie Fun

Personally, I think this was one of the best Christmases we have had!  It was such a wonderful holiday season to be in our house, get it decorated for Christmas (pics coming soon, I know no one really cares now, but I want to document it to make sure I remember what I did for next year!), and just to be with wonderful family and friends.  A few weeks ago Matt and I decided we were going to make some Christmas cut-outs.  My aunt is famous for her cut-outs (or sugar cookies, whatever you call them), so I was a bit nervous to make her recipe.
The dough turned out yummy, so that was a good sign!

Ready for baking!

So far, so good....

They turned out delicious!  Matt was not so patient with decorating them, but we had a good time and they were actually pretty yummy.  We both took them to work so that we wouldn't have 100 cookies sitting out because I think we would eat them all ourselves :)

Lacey and Kyle got Hitched!

Lacey and Kyle's wedding is over and it was wonderful!
The rehearsal dinner was held at an old fire house in Newberry that has been renovated to be a reception hall..it was so nice!

Kathryn and I took a little photo shoot in downtown Newberry...

Bridesmaid Luncheon

Getting ready for the big moment
We had to practice the bridesmaid dance just a little bit, looking good Cam...
Here is our garter that we have passed around for each wedding.  So far mine, Catie's, Cameron's, Kathryn's, Megan's, Lacey's, and soon to be Gail's initials will finish us out in March!
What a beautiful bride!!!!
We had SUCH a great time at the reception!
These four couples have been to many a wedding, shower, rehearsal dinner....it has been so much fun!  I love each one of them and am so thankful for such wonderful friends :)

We love you Lacey and Kyle, enjoy married life!!!

The Sing Off

Last year we watched the debut of the show The Sing Off...and it was awesome!  It is basically an acapella competition of groups across the nation.  It is only a few episodes, but is so worth watching.  It is seriously unbelievable what those people can do with their voices.  You think that there is a full orchestra and band up there playing with them.  Its crazy!  Well, the first episode of this season was on Monday and the second is on tonight...I highly recommend you set your DVRs to record it tonight!

This is my favorite right now...they are AMAZING!  If you watch this video, you will definitely be hooked.

I also like this group, they are all in HIGH SCHOOL....

Is anyone else watching it? If so, who are your favorites?
