Welcoming Katy Ellis

My second niece arrived on February 3- perfect, adorable, and looking just like her sister!

It was a scheduled C-Section so we got to the hospital around 7, she was born at 8:07am, but we had to wait around until 10:45 or so to see her!!!  It was a LONG wait and we were very anxious!

It was very worth the wait though!

I mean, can you get any more perfect?  Angel.

That face- I love it so much already.

The only Monk missing is little Blakely Monk....

Pop pop brought big sister to meet her baby sister!  She did SOOOO well!

She was very curious about this little baby and was sweet and gentle.  She kept saying " Hi Katy!"

Sweet mama and BOTH her girls!  I love this picture.

"Hi Katy!"

Big sister got a present!

New baby for baby girl!

Me and my newest girlfriend :)

And this picture just cracks me up.  Blakely was WAY more interested in the puke bag than Katy Ellis...whatever works!

I am thrilled to have two perfect, adorable, lovable nieces!   Lauren and Richard are adjusting beautifully and everyone is doing well.  Katy Ellis, we love you so very much and cannot wait to see what the Lord has planned for your life.  I know that you have two parents that plan to raise you to love Jesus and teach you about Him daily!  That is why you are one lucky little girl.  I love you to the moon and back!

New Years Eve

So I have been back tracking a little on the blog due to some lack of posting on my part :)  So its February and we're still discussing NYE...oh well!

Well NYE was a packed day from start to finish.  We started by meeting Wilson and his parents at the Riverbanks Zoo right after morning nap.

The Gorillas are always a hit!

Like mothers, like sons...they were matching!  Kat and I always seem to match one way or another and now look what these two both got for Christmas?!?

Banks really loved feeding the goats.  He didn't mind that they eat his whole hand.

I, on the other hand, was not too much of a fan...they have huge, gnarly teeth!

Playing in the straw was a highlight of the trip.  These two are so funny together, it cracks me up. They are doing so much of the same things, its crazy.

Group pic!  Matt had to work since it was a Tuesday :(

Train ride, we got the caboose!

Walking along with my Aunt Kathryn :)

And then after the zoo and naps, whats better than a little playtime sans pants with your bestie?

That night we all went over to Cameron and Jonathan's for NYE fun!  We hung out, played games, watched football, and ate yummy food.  And we all managed to stay up to midnight to watch the ball drop!

Happy New Years!

Blakey is TWO

My favorite little girl celebrated her SECOND birthday...I can hardly believe it!  We had a family party for her on New Years Day and then on her actual birthday we celebrated by taking the two little ones to build-a-bear!  Uncle Ryan and Olivia had gotten them gift certificates for Christmas and it was a great gift!

Going to make his bear!

Before we made the bears we let them play a while at the mall's playground.  They love this playground because it is perfect for their age.

Our sweet TWO year old!

We let them each pick out their animal.  I was scared that they would pick something hideous (and there were hideous things, trust me...like neon unicorns).  I should have known though that they both would pick a sweet doggy.

Here is our doggy ready to get stuffed!

Waiting patiently for their turn- they did SO good and were able to do all the little steps.  They both picked out a heart, gave it a kiss, and then put it in their doggy.  So sweet!

Here is Blakely washing "Two-Two"

Meet Trout!

Proud new parents of Two-Two and Trout!

Such a fun day and now we carry our friend Trout all over the place :)

Happy birthday sweet girl.  We love you so very much and I am so proud of the little girl that you are.  You are smart, polite, kind, adorable, lovable, and at times hilarious.  You make our lives so much better and we are so grateful!  I am thankful that God gave us to you, you are a true blessing to our family!
