Christmas 2011: Matt's Family

This Christmas was so wonderful!  We had a family-filled days of celebrating, eating, cooking, playing, and visiting! We started our Christmas off by visiting with Matt's family, starting with his mom's family.

We hung out and ate a delicious supper then opened gifts.  Nana and Gramps joined us, too!

Of course Grady was right in the middle of the action while opening gifts :)  We had such a great time celebrating with them! The next morning we had a big breakfast and then headed on to Matt's dad's.

There we got to celebrate with him, Pam, and and Pam's son, Travis.  We opened gifts on Christmas Eve day and we developed a new system to open presents so we made that last about 5 hours!

Matt got a new 3 wood golf club and he loved it!  He was very surprised!

Jordan and Will got some new ski pants to use on their ski trip in a few weeks.  This is them showing us their moves on how they would look going down the mountain.  Keep in mind Will has never been skiing before, so I think they should have shown us what they look like falling! ;)

This is Travis, Pam's son...so glad he could celebrate with us this year.  He LOVES dogs, and he has gotten to love these three dogs, especially!  It was a true miracle that we could get all the dogs to sit still and have Travis in the picture with them. Those dogs do not slow down for much, so this was definitely a moment to capture.  A few treats may have been involved!
Jordan and I got these cute aprons and we love them!  Aren't they so adorable? Pam had them made by a  lady that is also an OB/GYN and she makes aprons as a side job or hobby.  I love how they have a dishtowel to wipe your hands on attached to the apron, what a great idea!

After we opened presents we got dressed and went to the Christmas Eve service as Mt. Horeb, the church Matt grew up in.  We then went and ate at Travinia's, a delicious italian restaurant in Lexington.  Matt and I headed back to Charleston late night and got to spend the night in our house for Christmas night, it was such a fun treat!  Christmas day we headed to my parent's house in Charleston for more Christmas fun!  More on that to come...hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, too!
