14 Months Old

Banks, you are 14 months old! You are so full of energy and spunk and we love it :)

You took your first steps last month, but you really started walking on your 14 month birthday.  You are full force now and loving every minute!

You are getting to be such a big boy.  You wear size 18 month clothes and a size 5 shoe.  Not sure how much you weigh, but you are definitely getting bigger. 

Your vocabulary has exploded this month!  You say about 10 words (mama, dada, banana, baba, bye bye, dog, yea, no, etc.)

You also say TONS of animal sounds- pig, elephant, chicken, tiger, lion, bear, cow, etc.  They are the cutest.  You still really, really love animals!  When going through a book with animals (your favorite) or doing a puzzle you know most all animals and will point to them when asked.  It is your favorite thing to do! 

You have started to know some body parts.  You know belly, nose, ears, and occasionally toes. 

You are still a good eater, but you have still been protesting meat.  You will eat the occasional ground beef or chicken, but usually spit meat out otherwise.  Hopefully you will like it again soon.  Your favorite foods are:

- Bananas

-Clementines

-Cheese (string cheese, cheese slices, etc.)

- Grilled cheese

- Beans (black beans, kidney beans)

- Green beans

- Goldfish

-Applesauce

-Macaroni and Cheese

-Lima Beans

- Sweet Potatoes 

You love, love, love to play with toys!  Your favorite toys are hammers/tools, trucks/cars, puzzles, your play mats, and your teepee. You still would prefer books over anything though. Any book with animals in it is your favorite.  You would read Brown Bear, Brown Bear or Noah's Ark until the pages fell out. 

You love to be outside and it makes you the happiest.  You adore sticks, rocks, leaves, and acorns and carry them around everywhere.  You are just all boy when it comes to that. 

Your schedule is:

Wake up 6:30-7

Breakfast at 8:00

Nap 9:00

Lunch 12:00

Nap 2:00

Dinner 5:30

Bath/PJs 7:00

Bed 7:30

You have 8 teeth: Four front top, three front bottom, and one bottom left molar.  You did pretty well when the molar came in, you continued to sleep through night and were just a little more fussy during the day. 

You go 100 mph all day long...if there is something to find to get into, you are in it.  You love to climb stairs, open cabinets, play in the dog bowls, turn on the faucet...its a full time job keeping you out of trouble!  You are doing really well understanding "no" and taking discipline.  It is a work in progress and it will be for a long time, but I am so very proud of you!  You are such a good boy!

We love you so much and wouldn't trade your feisty, fun loving personality for anything!
