16 Months Old

Banks you are 16 months old!

I say it almost every month, but you are a ball of fun!  We have the best time with you!

You are learning and growing so much its crazy!  I love watching you learn and grow.  You have learned a few new things this month.  

You can:

-walk backwards (and you think its funny)

- attempt to stand on one foot when we ask

- pick out a few colors (blue and yellow, we're working on this rest)

- use a spoon to get food to your mouth (developing skill)

You love art and coloring!  You got some art supplies from GG and Pop Pop for Christmas and its one of your favorite things to do.  Your favorites are stamps, markers, and crayons.  You also love to dance and sing!

The big news this month is that at about 16 months and 1 week we decided to drop morning nap!  You had been waking up really early (6ish) and then a few nights you had fussed in your sleep around 4am. Your first nap was also sometimes shorter.  With all this combined we thought it may be time to drop AM nap...or at least see how it goes.  Well, you have done GREAT and you never missed a beat.  Your new schedule is a nap at 1:00.   You are starting to sleep in a little more in the AM.   Bedtime is still 7:30. 

You also really love to RUN!  You constantly make laps around our house through the dining room, foyer, living room, and kitchen. Your favorite game is "chase" with daddy!  The next best thing to running is climbing :)

"A-Pa" which means "please"...we have no idea why

You can shake your head yes and no.

- Fruit of course (blackberries, watermelon, grapes and strawberries)

- Mac and Cheese

- Hot Dogs

- American Cheese

- Yogurt

- Ranch dressing (I wish I was kidding...but I am trying to be honest haha)

- Grilled Cheese

-Grilled Chicken

- Peas

- Lima Beans

- Cooked carrots

- Beans (black beans)

- Last but not least, we found out you LOVE ice cream (I mean, who doesn't?!)

You love being outside...it is your happy place!

You love to giggle, smile, laugh, be tickled, thrown, etc.  You LOVE people and other kids!

Banks you are awesome and we love you!  Next month you will have a NEW cousin! We can't wait for Katy Ellis to be here and for her to join her crazy sister and crazy cousin!
