20 Months Old

Banks you are 20 months old!

You are very active and fun and we love you so!

Your vocabulary has really taken off this month!  You are talking non stop, although we don't understand all you are saying.  Here are some words:

"Help"

"Book"

"More"

"Mine" (my least favorite of the vocab additions)

"Whee!" (what you call the swing, which you LOVE)

"Cock a Doddle Doo!"

"Shoe"

"Wa" (water)

"Baby"

You have a few spontaneous two word phrases such as "Hi Mama" and "Bye Bye Dada"

You like to help me make the bed by handing me each of the pillows one at a time.  You also like to punch in the alarm code each morning, you just LOVE to help me with anything!

You are still a very good eater.  You eat most things but your favorite is fruit for sure.  You love all fruit and will gobble it up! 

You are starting to learn colors and will recognize green, red, yellow, and blue about 75% of the time correctly.  You can say "green, red, and blue."

You are VERY good with stabbing food with a fork and eating it.  You are also very good with the spoon.  You eat almost all of your meals with a utensil. 

You LOOOOOVE being outside!  You would stay out all day if we would let you.  It is always a fight to get you back inside after playing outside.  You also LOVE to swing (or "whee" as you call it).  You would stay in the swing for over an hour.  Its kinda crazy because you never liked the swing as a baby. 

You are sleeping from around 8pm-7am on most days.  Then you nap about 2 hours at 1 or 1:30.  You still go to bed SO easily.  After we say our prayer and you say "amen" you are literally diving for your bed so you can snuggle Mr. Fox (your lovey) and go night night.  I think bedtime is actually one of your favorite times of the day!  Naptime is just as easy to put you down, you are such a good boy and go right to sleep. 

You do still have a stubborn streak.  You have taken to the word "mine" and use it frequently.  You think all things are "mine," so we've been having to correct you some with this. 

You are a happy, happy, giggly boy!  You love to play chase with daddy and you LOVE "football drills."  Wilson actually taught you this in the mountains, but it has taken off.  You line up anywhere and everywhere and then we yell "one, two, three, GO" and you run to us.  GG took you to McDonalds last week and you had three or four kids lined up and you were in front of them yelling "one, two, GO!"  Such a little leader, mommy is so proud :)

You love trucks, construction equipment, firetrucks, etc!  All things that GO!  You constantly point them out to us when we are driving.  I find myself looking for construction equipment and we will pull over and watch them dig.  You would watch for days!  When you see a firetruck you will start making a (very loud) siren noise.  

Banks we think you are the cutest, smartest, funniest, and most spirited baby we know!  We could not love you any more!
