Walker 11 Months Old

Walker!  You are ELEVEN MONTHS OLD!  This post is a little late (whoops!), but you are growing SO fast.  I cannot believe we are weeks away from your first birthday. This year has FLOWN by but it has been OH so sweet!  Being a mommy of two has been easier is some respects and harder in others than I expected.  Mostly, it has been easier.  It has surely been BETTER! 

You have SUCH a happy disposition!  You are constantly smiling and laughing.  You LOVE LOVE LOVE your brother and he can get you laughing for no apparent reason.  You are super go-with-the-flow and are fine strolling in your stroller or riding in the car most days.  You have gotten VERY aware of where the big kids are and you desire to be with them.  You will stand at the bottom gate of the stairs to the playroom until I let you go up.  You LOVE to play!  You are so great at independently finding some toys and exploring.  If your brother is playing git, then you are interested.  Your favorite toys are balls for sure! 

You have 7 teeth (4 up and 3 down), you are wearing size 12-18 months, size 4 diapers, and size 4 shoes.   

You have had an ear infection on and off for the past 6 weeks, we have tried three antibiotics and we cannot seem to kick it.  Dee Dee is on it and we will get it taken care of one way or another. You still have been happy happy even with a nasty ear infection.  

Your face is constantly covered in scrapes and bruises. You play HARD and often get hurt...sorry bud! You are really tough though and usually just keep on playing! 

Your schedule is :

7-8:00 wake up (you are one that likes to sleep in)

5 oz bottle when you wake

8:00 breakfast (an egg, oatmeal, yogurt, etc)

9-11:00 nap

sometimes you have a bottle after nap, but not consistently

12:00 lunch (you eat whatever we eat or what brother is eating)

2:00 bottle 

2-4:00/4:30 nap

5:30 dinner (again whatever we are eating)

7:30 bottle and BEDTIME

You LOVE a sippy cup with a straw and drink out of one every day.  We have tried whole milk and you like it! 

Favorite foods:

mac and cheese (you're obsessed)

chicken

raspberries

mandarin oranges

grapes

cheese of any kind

ham

You are extremely busy!  You are crawling everywhere, pulling up, cruising along furniture, walls, really anything! You often cruise along with just one hand holding on.   You still have not stood alone and haven't tried any steps.  Its ok, you can take your time :)  Unlike Banks at this age, you cannot sit still for anything, even books.  You might listen for 1-2 minutes and then you're gone! 

You say "mama," "dada," and "baba" but I don't think any are specific.  You are constantly growling and roaring.  I think it might have something to do with how many dinosaur roars your brother makes on a daily basis...sorry about that!  You can follow some simple verbal commands (sit down, come here, etc).  

You love to play peek a boo and "how big is Walker?"  You love any attention :)

Walker we just love you SO much.  You are the sweetest little things and I am so happy you are ours! This year has been so much fun and you have made our family SO much better!  Can't believe you are almost one, but it feels like our family was never without you!
