We had a fabulous memorial day. Memorial day is tough because it is a great day to enjoy family and the kick off to summer, but its hard because that day is a tough one for so many. I literally cannot image sending Matt overseas not knowing if he's coming back...and then thinking of those families whose daddies did not come back is overwhelming. What brave men, wives, and kids. They have given the ultimate sacrifice so we can have our freedom. THAT is bravery and courage.
Our memorial day weekend included a boat ride on the lake over to Liberty Tap Room while my parents and in laws kept our kiddos for the night! So fun with Ryan, Amy, J, and Cam! We may or may not have gotten lost in the dark on the boat on the way home...but that added to the excitement ;)
Monday we headed back to my parents house for the day! It was the PERFECT temperature and slightly overcast all day. That = lake perfection.
The day started with hardcore fishing!
Banksie caught his FIRST fish. Do you see that look of pride?!?
He kept saying "more fish, daddy!"
That is our new smile...oh man, we need to work on that!
Break for PB and Js!
This kid is a little fish this summer. He has gotten his puddle jumper down and he LOVES the water. He is doing swim lessons in a few weeks so maybe the puddle jumper will be used a little less. We will see!
I spy two little fishies!
Walker is obsessed with his water baby bjorn. Thanks GG for finding this for us!
KE loved the slide!
We took the boat and Mable out for some fun. Banks and Blakely LOVED it. Thanks Timmy D for being our professional photog for the mable trip. Like for real, he had a camera the size of a bazooka out there shooting photos. Thanks Timmy D!
So much happiness!
HAPPY SUMMER!!!!
