With the cooler fall weather we thought it would be fun to do a "campout" at our house. We invited over our cousins, made a fire, and pitched a tent!
First activity was the daddies took the big kids on a hike through the woods. They collected leaves, saw squirrels, and brought back big sticks!
Heading off to their adventure!
They both thought the tent was the best thing ever. They spent most of the evening running in and out of it.
I walked over at one point and their were fake sleeping, haha!
I love campfires!
We all took turns playing inside the tent with kiddos.
The littlest (and the biggest haha ) camper!
There are usually swings at a campout, right?!
We roasted some hot dogs for dinner and the kids sat at their picnic table and ate them up!
And of course what is a campout with out marshmellows (or as Banks calls them "mama-mellows")
One of Banks favorite activities right now is "sneaking" up on a people and scaring them. Of course when Blakely was in the tent he thought it was the perfect occasion!
He soon jumped up and went "rooooooaaarrr!!!!" He is so silly!
The kids had a blast (and so did we!) at the campout. We thought it was still a little premature to do a spend the night campout, but our evening of camping out was really fun! We will give it a few years before we attempt a sleeping camp trip. We will be doing this again soon for sure!
