Christmas morning when Banks woke up, Santa came! All Banks wanted for Christmas was a choo choo. So...Santa definitely brought him a choo choo!
The choo choo was a construction theme and it was electric.
Banks wrote Santa a letter the night before and left him out some cookies. Santa gobbled up the cookies and milk and wrote Banks back, too!
He comes Banks! Walker was there, too he was just less excited to come down the stairs this year :)
He spies Santa goodies!
We then opened up stockings and had some cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
It was a very relaxed morning for the most part (pretty low key with an 11 day old). We read a lot of Christmas books, watched some Christmas movies, and played with our new toys. GG and Pop pop came by to see what Santa brought and then later in the afternoon we headed to Cici and Papas to see more family!
We made it to Cici and Papas to see them and Jordan, Will, and Eleanor!
We opened up presents the day after Christmas with Matt's family.
Matt got a golf bag, but Banks was WAY interested in this cool new "tunnel" he got.
He went in and out a million times. We then had a big meal and played with new toys and hung out. It was a great Christmas day :)
Christmas was so special this year for lots of reasons, but mostly because we brought home Walker! It was challenging this year to teach Banks the real meaning of Christmas, although we tried our hardest. I pray next year his eyes are opened to what Christmas is really about and we get a lot more opportunities to teach him about Jesus' birth. What a joyous season it was!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
