Amelia Island

We were lucky enough this summer to spend a wonderful week in Amelia Island with Matt's family.  None of us had ever been to Amelia Island so it was fun explore it together.

Banks was SO excited about the beach, for days leading up the trip he could barely contain himself.  Well the beach did not disappoint, he loved every minute of it!

We stayed in a house right on the water which was very convenient with kiddos.

Banks and Eleanor loved playing together all week!

Banks had his Papa all week and he could not have been more excited!

According to Banks he loved the ocean because he loved "riding waves, building sandcastles, and swimming!"

Walker's first dip in the ocean!  He was a big fan of sand and water :)

Of course Uncle Will was a GREAT source of entertainment!

Papa's birthday was during the week so we of course celebrated!

We brought a baby pool for the kids (and adults haha) and it ended up being perfect for when we were sick of salt water.

The two littles especially loved it!

We tried several restaurants and we loved them all.  Most of them had a playground on the property which banks of course loved.

You can spot Banks heading down the slide!

Big Walker and little Walker :)

Eleanor was SO close to walking!

Usually every day we went the beach until lunch or a little after and then headed inside for naps for the kids and then after naps we went to dinner or made dinner at the house.  It was glorious!

Banks carried all his own toys to and from the ocean in his wagon :)

The beach was basically private, it was awesome!

This little one asked to be buried every day!

Cogdill Cousins!

If you asked Banks what was his favorite part of the trip he said "the pirate ship!"  Seriously, it was a playground at a restaurant.  Its the little things!

Story time with Uncle Matt!

Downtown AI had the cutest restaurants and ice cream shops!  Of course we had to get ice cream at least once!

We had such a great week!  I would go back to AI in a heartbeat, we loved it.  It was a much needed time of relaxation with my little family.  Can we go back soon!?!
