Thought I would share a yummy recipe that we made for on Sunday. My sister found it in Women's Health Magazine and we thought we would give it a try. Both of us rarely make bread so it was a fun experience!
Roasted Garlic Beer Bread
2 whole garlic bulbs
2 cups whole-wheat pastry flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
3/4 tsp salt
1 bottle lager or pilsner (we used Sam Adams lager)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Remove the papery covering on the garlic and slice off the tops. Wrap heads in foil and bake for 45 minutes, or until garlic is very soft. Let cool.
{too much fun with the bread on super bowl sunday}
Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, squeeze out the garlic pulp and mix with the flours, sugar, olive oil, baking powder, rosemary, and salt. Add beer and stir until just combined (do not overmix). Bake 50 minutes or until top is golden brown and an inserted tooth pick comes out clean. Let cool before slicing.

While we were busy making bread, Jordan cooked up some other items for us...
Mr. Jeff, Matt, Will, and Richard enjoyed the game. The girls enjoyed the commercials. I thought the Dorito Commercials were hilarious, especially the one where the guy licks the other guy's fingers. So funny!
It was a fun super bowl Sunday, glad we got to spend it with family!
