When we first moved in Matt had several things he wanted to get done ASAP. Well it has now been about 9 months in our house and we are just checking the last few things off the list. Better late than never, right? One of the things Matt wanted was to build a stone paver patio off the back of the house to put his grill, a fire pit, maybe some chairs on, etc. He started this project a few weeks ago by digging up all the grass and marking out the area.
After the initially time-intensive digging, it was time to call in some reinforcements.
So last weekend Matt's dad and Will came over for a full day of patio-creating!
You would think (or maybe it was just me) that you just put these suckers down and you're finished. Well it turns out each individual paver needs to be leveled and positioned to perfection...so it took pretty much ALL day...
Oh, I forgot the mention the other help...Tiger! He was, as always, good company :) My job consisted of making 100 trips to Lowe's and then unloading the pavers from the truck, with some help from Will.
All DONE! Doesn't it look great?!? They did a wonderful job!
My parents got Matt a fire pit for his bday and he put the grill on it as well. We are now on the hunt for some comfortable chairs...we are thinking maybe adirondack chairs. We will see!

I love the garden! Strawberries, cucumbers, peppers, yum!
Now that is a great looking patio!! Can't wait to spend some time out on it. You'all did a really good job.
