Lowcountry Boil

Anyone who knows me well, knows that change is not something that is easy for me.  All major changes require a lot of tears and a good bit of resistance.  Well when we moved to Charleston most of our best friends were students of some kind, as were Matt and I.  Since that time we have all graduated from various graduate schools and some have already moved on (Reeses, Finleys, Arehearts, Prchals, etc.) and we knew it was inevitable that we would one day say goodbye to more.  Well that time is now and its not just one couple, but TWO.  The Drechslers and the Martins will both be leaving Charleston next week.  These are especially hard because these two couples have been there with us almost since we first moved to Charleston.  They were some of our very first friends here and it will be weird to live here without them.

On Saturday night we all got together for one last hangout.

We did a big lowcountry boil at the Nissen's house and it was so much fun!

I love how Banks is sitting there in his little chair in the middle of the conversation.  I have a little PTSD looking at this picture because poor little Banks tried to stand up while he was sitting there and fell and took quite a tumble!  Its his first little booboo!  Made mommy probably a lot more sad than it made Banks, but it was pretty awful.  He just has a tiny little strawberry on his nose and one on his forehead, but I think he will be alright.  Poor guy!

Mmmmmmmm!

Three adorable pregnant ladies, Allison, Becca, and Holly :)

Love these sweet friends!  We will sure miss Ben, Holly, Mandy and Brad!  It will NOT be the same without you.  So thankful for this season we got to share with y'all.  There have been many hours logged sharing life with y'all and we love each of you dearly!
