9 Months Old

Banks, you are NINE months old! 

You are growing and changing and developing right before our eyes!

It was a little challenging to get your nine month old pictures....you are not happy just sitting still.  You want to reach and grab at everything! 

You were all healthy at your 9 month check up!

Weight: 18 lbs 14 oz, 25th percentile

Length 29 1/2 inches, 75-90%

Head Circumference: 18 in, 50%

You are a "string bean" as Dr. King called you, long and lean!

You are "crawling," in an "army-crawl" fashion.  You get down on your tummy and inch-worm your way across the room, its so cute!  You get so determined and you can actually go pretty fast!  You will occasionally pop up on your hands and knees, but mostly stay on your tummy.  When you get to a table or anything to pull up on, you try pretty hard pulling but haven't quite pulled up.  I think that will happen in the next few days, you're very close!  

You will walk if we hold onto your hands and you LOVE standing!  It makes you so happy to stand at your activity table or coffee table.  You spend more than half your day doing this. 

You eat everything in sight!  You are completely over pureed baby foods.  You like anything that you can feed yourself.  You have tried SO much and pretty much eat anything we are eating.

Pizza

Grilled Chicken

Strawberries

Nutrigrain bars

Grilled Cheese

Broccoli 

You're doing great with your sippy cup, too.  I have to wait until after dinner to give it to you because you get too excited to eat if we put it in front of you. 

You still say "mama," "dada," and your new word is "uh oh."  You say it whenever your paci comes out, you drop your sippy cup, or a toy drops.  Its the cutest!

You can clap your hands and wave bye bye. 

You wear mostly size 12 months clothes and you just moved to size four diapers.  Most of your clothes are baggy but they are tight to button because you're so long. 

Your favorite toys are your activity table, trucks, balls, little stuffed animals, and your tambourine 

You are still on the same schedule with two naps and sleeping about 11 hours at night (7:30-6:30). 

Your personality is the best!  You are so curious and outgoing.  You smile at anyone and everyone!  You have not had any stranger danger, but you prefer mommy and daddy if we are around.  You don't mind the church nursery and they always say you are so good! 

You love books and love to flips through the pages yourself.  You jabber and talk while playing like you're making up your own story. 

You still LOVE bath time! You get so excited and would play in there for hours. 

You now have TWO teeth!!!  Your two bottom teeth have come in.  Teething hasn't been too terrible although I can tell sometimes you're in pain.  Those two little teeth hurt too when I get my finger caught!

Banks you are the sweetest, cutest, most lovable boy in the world!  I love you so much and can't believe we are just three months away from you being one!  Where has this year gone!?
