Banks, you are 8 weeks old!
These past 8 weeks have been the fastest weeks, but I also feel like I have known you forever! I can hardly remember our little family without you.
You had a big weekend this past weekend because you were with Mama C or Gigi a lot this weekend while mommy was in a wedding and daddy was with her.
You are growing and changing so much!
You are much more aware of your surroundings. You will track not only our voices around the room, but also our faces. You will watch Tiger when he comes by you or up to you.
You are getting so strong and have excellent head control.
This week you have loved your playmat even more than before. You are very content laying and batting at your toys for up to 30 minutes several times a day.
Your daily schedule usually is this:
7-8 wake up (usually wake up with happy coos and noises and not crying anymore)
8:00 Diaper change and eat
Play time, usually a walk around the neighborhood or a bath
9 or 9:30: Nap
11: Diaper change and eat
Play time (usually go out to lunch or run errand with GG)
12 or 12:30: Nap
2:00: Diaper change and eat
Playtime
3 or 3:30: Nap
5:00: Diaper change and eat
Playtime
6:00-7:00 a shorter nap
7:00: Diaper change and eat (we cluster feed at night)
Usually try to do awake time until next feed without a nap (doesn't always work)
9:00: Go upstairs, pajamas, sleep sack, turn on sound machine, feed in the dark, quiet nursery, then put to bed
11:30 DreamFeed (we have been experimenting with this this week to get some longer stretches at night and it has worked great! We basically go in while he's asleep, lift him out of bed, don't change or awaken him, have him take a full feeding, and then put him in his crib back asleep. Occasionally he wakes up during this, but he goes right back to sleep.)
Nighttimes vary right now. We started out the week in a bit of a sleep regression (back to eating every 3-4 hrs at night) so we mixed it up with the dreamfeed. With the addition of the dreamfeed he is going from 11/11:30 to 5 or 5:30. Hopefully we can continue to stretch that time.
"Um, mama, what is this thing over here? I just noticed it."
You rolled over (belly to back) once more this week, daddy actually got to see the end of it!
Tiger is still your friend and you two are becoming more aware of eachother. He is never far from us during the day, where we go, he goes :)
We have been spending lots of time with GG on my maternity leave. You love hanging out at her house and jetting all over town with the two of us. You are very easy going about eating "meals on the road" or taking a nap in the car.
This week you went to the library! We took you and Blakely just to check it out. We actually read some books and met some friends. Blakely loved the books and colorful children's area of the library!
Sometimes your faces just crack me up!
You are the most beautiful baby boy. I may be a bit biased, but I would just kiss you all day!
We love you baby boy!
