Banks, you are three and a half years old!
You are becoming such a big boy and are becoming so independent. It just amazes me everyday things you are able to do by yourself. You are an amazing, sweet, kind, smart, funny, and energetic little boy!
You are in 3K and the youngest in your class. You are doing SO well! We recently got your mid-year assessment back and you have already achieved every skill for the entire year. You love to learn and are eager to please. Your teacher also said you were a nice and kind little boy and they loved having you in their class. You have not gotten in trouble once at school (knock of wood!). You know all kinds of shapes, all colors, all letters, all numbers. You can recognize and spell your name. You know about 50% of the letter sounds. A lot of times if we say "what does___ start with?" you can answer correctly. You know about 100 dinosaur names, haha. We are SUPER proud of you!
You can go potty by yourself, which is an awesome milestone! You sleep in underwear but have 1-2 accidents a month. I got sick of changing bunk bed sheets so I tried to convince you to wear a diaper at night, but you were very insulted, so we are sticking with underwear at night still. You haven't had an accident during the day in many, many months. I cannot remember the last one you had.
You have started to be a bit opinionated with dinner. You will always end up eating what I cook, but a lot of times it takes a while to get you to. Your eating has really slowed down and you're not eating nearly as much as you were. Your favorite meal is still breakfast and that is where you eat the most.
Favorite foods:
All fruit (all berries, watermelon, apples, plums, bananas, oranges, etc)
Scrambled Eggs (this is new, you used to hate eggs)
Cheese
PB and J
Muffins
Pancakes
Yogurt
Cheeseburgers
Cheese Pizza
Chocolate and all desserts!
You still have a VERY happy disposition. You are a big helper around the house and to me. You are usually very well behaved and listen well. You really, really love all kids and love to play. You are kind of obsessed with gender stereotypes right now and everything is a "boy thing" or "girl thing." You are really insulted if you have to do anything "girly." You talk NONSTOP, like 1 million words a day. You LOVE Walker, you honestly do. If he doesn't come with us you are always asking where he is and you want him around. You have never once not wanted him there and I am so thankful.
Schedule:
7:00/7:30 wake
8:00 Breakfast
12:00 lunch
2:00-4/4:30 nap
7:30/8:00 bed
You are still very easy to put to bed, you only require at least one book read. You sleep well at night as well as naps. You still really need that nap and I don't see you giving it up anytime soon. You might skip it once a month.
At your last doctors visit in December you were 40 inches tall, 87%tile. You wear 3T or 4T clothes, sometimes a 5T in shirts. You wear a 10.5 or 11 in shoes.
Banks, you are such a JOY to have as a child. You make my life so easy to be your mom! I can't wait to see what you do with your life as you grow up because you are a special boy! You are the perfect boy to have TWO baby brothers, they will look up to you and I know you will be such a good example for them. We pray you learn to love Jesus and you use your outgoing personality to be a light for him! Banks, we love you so!
