This year for Thanksgiving we traveled to Hickory to visit Jordan and Will and share their first Thanksgiving in their new house! Banks did great traveling and we had the best time! We were able to get there late Tuesday night and stay until Sunday. It was so nice to get to spend that chunk of time with Matt's family. I think they enjoyed getting to spend it with Banks too :)
Of course the trip started off by getting started cooking for Thanksgiving early Wednesday. We went the store and started preparing our feast. Good thing we got started because it took the full two days!
The cooks!
Cooking the apples for the pie
Chopping celery for stuffing
Will and Jordan loved getting to spend time with this little man. He loves his uncle Will and Aunt Jordan!
This was pretty much where Banks was all week long, in Papa C's arms. So sweet and special to see these two together, Banks is one lucky boy.
One chilly night we made a bonfire and had s'mores. We had to bundle little Banks up and he slept the whole time.
Travis was able to come to Thanksgiving too, which was great! He loved making the s'mores :)
This picture pretty much sums up why I love my brother-in-law...he is like this...all. the. time. Which is awesome because I usually am, too! We make quite the team :)
Of course these two little pups came along, too. They really are best friends and it had been a while since they were together. I am pretty sure both will sleep for a week after all the playing they did.
Our one family shot for Thanksgiving. This was the one and only picture that Tiger would actually sit still and not run around with Grady. It is not easy getting a picture of a dog, a 2.5 month old, and two adults.
Happy Thanksgiving from our little fam to yours! SO much to be thankful for this year. This picture pretty much sums it up for me. I am thankful for my wonderful, amazing, Godly husband and I am thankful for the most perfect baby boy God could have ever entrusted us with. God is so good and I am so thankful that I am His. My cup runneth over!
Well for every good family picture, there are 10 outtakes....as noted above, haha.
The bird...yum!
Some grandparent love :)
