Edisto

We just got back from a very fun and relaxing week in Edisto.  I love Edisto because you literally just hang out, cook, play games, and lay on the beach the whole time.  I laughed when I got back and looked at my pictures because there were tons of pictures, but literally only a handful without Blakely.   But honestly that is life right now, it all revolves around her anyways :)  

One night we changed up our cooking routine and and ate out at Sea Cow Eatery, this is Matt, me, and Banks before dinner

 Ryan wasn't able to come due to his internship and the fact that he had a new puppy.  We missed him and wished the whole family could have been there. 

 Cute little family hanging out!  It was SO hot all week that Blakely was naked a lot all week, haha.  Either that or she was in the water.

 Matt and Blakely getting ready for the pool!  These two are adorable together.  Blakely has a very special fondness for her Uncle Matt.  If she is at all fussing with me all I have to do is hand her to Uncle Matt and she starts smiling and giggling. 

 Her new favorite move is the "fish face."  She did it all week...its pretty adorable!

 One night we cooked a big low country boil with fresh shrimp and it was amazing!  We ate very well all week with some delicious cooked meals.  Each couple was in charge of planning one night and this is what Matt and I made.

  Blakely was having so much fun in the pool until literally one second later she was tired.  She decided she would just take a little snooze in her raft.

Don't have tons of pictures from the actual beach because it was too hard to lug a camera around, but we have a few. 

Blakely loves to try to drink out of our glasses...obviously we didn't let her actually drink tea :) 

I learned a whole new lesson about what it takes to get a baby to the beach!  Whew...so much work and so much stuff!  It took 6 adults to just carry all her gear.  It was worth it though, but we sure didn't do it every day!  We're thinking next year we should go to the mountains or something for vacation, much cooler!

Overall we had such a great time in Edisto, I am just sad its over.  Wish we could start the week all over again!  Thanks mom and dad for taking us!
